BP Moves Closer to ‘Top Kill’ of Leaking Oil Well (Update3)
BP Plc took steps toward attempting to cap its leaking well in the Gulf of Mexico yesterday as it increased the amount of crude it’s capturing and thick oil began to appear in Louisiana’s wetlands.

Transocean Asks to Cap Rig Liability at $26.7 Million (Update3)

May 5 (Bloomberg) — BP Plc stopped one of three oil leaks from its well in the Gulf of Mexico, advancing efforts to end a spill after a drilling rig sank last month, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

BP Plans to Lower Containment Dome to Seafloor Today (Update3)
May 6 (Bloomberg) — BP Plc , battling an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, plans to lower a containment dome to the seabed today to collect crude spewing from a damaged well as the slick threatened to slow shipping at the largest U.S. commodity port.
