Our Eco system will be forever affected by the oil spill that recently occurred in the Gulf Coast. It will take 20 years before the shrimp beds return to normalcy due to polluted waters. “That a long darn time”. The Exxon Valdez oil spill occurred in Alaska, on March 24, 1989. You would think after 21 years, and one month later, we would have learned how to prevent this issue from occurring again; but, as you can see that is not the case. The preservation of wild life is, once again, affected due to human error. My hopes are that BP will own up to this accident while digging deep within their pockets to pay out what they owe!
