BP Oil Leak May Soar 12-Fold If Dome-Cap Plan Fails (Update2)
Oil leaking from a BP Plc well in the Gulf of Mexico could surge to 60,000 barrels a day if plans to cap it with a containment dome fail, Representative Edward Markey said yesterday after a meeting with industry executives.

High winds and rough seas in the Gulf of Mexico are hampering operations by BP to contain the looming oil slick threatening Louisiana’s endangered wetlands, as the oil company’s efforts are being questioned by both Gov. Bobby Jindal and local residents enlisted to fight the spill.
