UPDATE:Hundreds seek jobs, but BP’s not hiring in Miss.
BILOXI — A claims fair in Biloxi, Miss., drew hundreds of out-of-work residents hoping to file claims or get a job with BP. The fair was organized by a coalition of nonprofits and paid for with an ,000 grant from British Petroleum.

Cleanup Jobs Are Hard To Find In The Gulf
Despite the sheer size of the Gulf oil spill, cleanup jobs are hard to come by. Job-seekers in New Orleans say they have gotten the runaround from BP and the Louisiana Workforce Commission when inquiring about work.

Gulf Oil Cleanup Jobs May Be Identity Theft Scams

Oil Falls a Second Day on Europe Debt Concerns, U.S. Jobs Data
June 7 (Bloomberg) — Crude oil dropped for a second day on concern the government debt crisis in Europe will widen and after the U.S. added fewer jobs than forecast last month, suggesting energy demand may be slow to recover.
