HOUMA, La. – Wildlife response teams from US Fish & Wildlife release birds from rehab at the Atchafalaya National Wildlife Refuge in southeast Louisiana. Each day, multi-agency bird recovery teams led by US Fish and Wildlife Service respond to reports from cleanup workers and citizens of injured and oiled birds. The birds are captured and transported to rehabilitation facilities with the eventual goal of returning them to the wild. US Fish and Wildlife Service video.
