Harvey Bisso Subsea has completed its first subsea project performing saturation diving work in 105 metres of water at ATP Oil & Gas Corporations deepwater platform in Grand Isle block 115. Transocean has released an update regarding a fire and explosion onboard its semi-submersible drilling rig Deepwater Horizon, saying that the rig sank late on April 22. Diamond Offshore Drilling has reported a net income for the first quarter of 2010 of US0.9 million, or US.09 per share on a diluted basis, compared with net income of US8.6 million, or US.51 per share on a diluted basis, in the same period a year earlier.

BP Needs ‘Lottery Win’ in August to Seal Oil Leak at First Try
June 1 (Bloomberg) — BP Plc would need the equivalent of a lottery win to succeed with its first attempt to end the Gulf of Mexico oil spill in August using a so-called relief well, the president-elect of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists said.

As I’m watching the news, seeing all of these fantastical, hopeless ideas being honestly tossed around as possibly viable-enough-to-try solutions to the oil well rupture, I just had to come up with my own that I thought would have the same probability of working. See? I should get paid the same amount as Gov’t consultants– When do I get my check?
