BP: Oil containment efforts resume after ship fire
A drill ship resumed siphoning off oil gushing from a blown-out well in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday after a bolt of lightning struck the vessel and ignited a fire that halted containment efforts, the company said.

HOUMA, La. – A fleet of vessels span out around the site of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, in an offensive strategy aimed at controlling the spread of oil, Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Attacking the spill on the surface, vessels skim thick oil from the top of the water and pump it into barges.
