THEODORE, Ala. – More than 100,000 feet of boom was surged to the Louisiana parishes that are facing the greatest risk from the oil May 27, 2010. At the request of the National Incident Command, boom is being strategically redeployed from staging areas across the Gulf Coast, where shoreline impact is not imminent, to the Louisiana parishes that are facing the greatest risk from the oil, including Terrebonne and LaFourche parishes in Louisiana.
