Today, a panel of government scientists released a report which said that the vast majority of the oil from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill has either evaporated or been burned, skimmed, recovered from the wellhead or dispersed much of which is in the process of being degraded. A significant amount of this is the direct result of the federal government’s aggressive response to the spill.
The chart below outlines the breakdown of what has happened to the oil released into the Gulf of Mexico since the oil spill began in April:

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill (also referred to as the BP oil spill, the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the BP oil disaster or the Macondo blowout) is a massive ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that is now considered the largest offshore spill in US history. Some estimates placed it by late May or early June, 2010, as among the largest oil spills in the world with tens of millions of gallons spilled to date.[8] The spill stems from a sea floor oil gusher that resulted from the April 20, 2010 Deepwater Horizon drilling rig explosion. The explosion killed 11 platform workers and injured 17 others. The gusher, now estimated by the quasi-official Flow Rate Technical Group to be flowing at 35000 to 60000 barrels (1500000 to 2500000 US gallons; 5600 to 9500 cubic metres) of crude oil per day, originates from a deepwater wellhead 5000 feet (1500 m) below the ocean surface. The exact spill flow rate is uncertain due to the difficulty of installing measurement devices at that depth and is a matter of ongoing debate. The resulting oil slick covers a surface area of at least 2500 square miles (6500 km2), with the exact size and location of the slick fluctuating from day to day depending on weather conditions. Scientists have also reported immense underwater plumes of oil not visible at the surface. Experts fear that the spill will result in an environmental disaster, with extensive impact already on marine and wildlife habitats. The spill has also damaged the Gulf of Mexico …
An apology to the BP United Kingdom www.asukashinsha.jp www.youtube.com www.youtube.com To our good friends and allies across the pond, the United Kingdom, please accept an apology from a multitude of Americans. President Obama, the Obama Regime, Democrats and the news media are all not reflective of many Americans. Their shameful behavior in attacking British Petroleum over the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is unacceptable. The Obama regime in an attempt to vilify BP for their response needs to first look at the government which has been hijacked by the environmentalist. They are the reason the oil well was located in deep waters. British Petroleum was not given an override concerning the approvals needed and rules to follow by a myriad of Federal agencies and complex environmental rules set up only to be an obstacle. These same rules and agencies even hampered the governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal from trying to protect the states in waters off his state.
