BP has yet to 'make it right' on Coast
Hattiesburg American Back in August, I expressed my concerns that once the BP Macondo oil well was capped and the spill became a past tense reference in the media that the needs of the Gulf Coast citizens impacted by the disaster would be "out of sight, out of mind. … Ken Feinberg's Gulf oil spill claims criteria blasted by congressional members Shelby sends Feinberg letter on claims Sen. Richard Shelby sends a letter to Kenneth Feinberg |
What am I supposed to do? I have filed an “Interim Claim” trying to recoup my losses from July through December. There is know way of knowing if they have received all of my paper work until one of the adjusters looks at my claim. If you don’t have everything they send you a letter which you have to follow up with a phone call to find out what is missing.
They say your claim will be processed and paid within 90 days and that the adjuster decides when the 90 days starts. Mr. Feinberg has no accountability and his firm is making millions. I bet he doesn’t have to wait nine months or longer to get his check. Who do I call for help ? The Alabama Attorney General Hot line sends you to a voice mailbox that has “not been setup yet”. Oh one other thing, apparently they have outsourced the call center overseas. Because the last two times I have called I get a foreign accent that can barley speak English. This is very comforting to know since all of my paper work has to have my full name, address and social security number written on it. This is the biggest scam pulled on the American people in US history. SOMEBODY HELP US !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
