This is getting a little ridiculous. Why are we expecting drilling companies to clean up oil? This is NOT their job or area of expertise. There job is to get oil out of the ground. Why are we not going to the experts in clean up? I have been listening to the whining and complaining, but have yet to see any action.
Since the onset of this disaster, I have watched with sadness the effects this newest disaster is causing on our environment. Yet, no one is asking the right questions. No one is addressing the issues. Everyone wants to complain, but why are we not cleaning?
I have been in the environmental business for far too long and learned far too much to sit back and continue to watch this catastrophe. There is no coming back on this one. The ship has sailed, our opportunity is lost. We let it go on far too long.
We need leaders that are not afraid to lead. We need agencies that are going to do their job. Where are they?
When do we say enough?
