Spawning in the oil spill
The Gulf of Mexico oil spill is the worst environmental disaster the US has faced. Toxic oil from the Deepwater Horizon well threatens the region’s sensitive shorelines and the nesting birds along the Louisiana coast. But there’s another species at serious risk: the Atlantic bluefin tuna. This special marine podcast takes the form of an urgent warning about the future of the species. The spawning habitat of the bluefin tuna overlaps with the oil-spill zone and the disaster comes right at the peak of spawning season. The larvae might not withstand the toxic effects of the spilled oil. The bluefin tuna is already living dangerously close to the edge thanks to overfishing and climate change. The Deepwater Horizon catastrophe could wipe out the region’s bluefin populations forever. One person can still make a difference in this world, is that simple interactions have a rippling effect. Each time this gets pass along, the hope in cleaning our planet is passed on .watch the youtube video title “COMPLETE CLEAN UP OF THE GULF SPILL” by PRR7075
@ForeverPassionate Or at the very least stop offshore spilling
i LOVE (!) BP.
no, that was irony. if i could, i would shoot all the managers of BP and after that i would cut them into pieces and put them into a oil barrel.
Join the Global Naked Bike Ride, June 12. It is a friendly protest against oil dependency.
Fuck.Man
GOOD JOB AMERICA! Very impressive video and very true. More than 80% of the world population don’t even know what’s happening right now…
this is Fucked.
Horrible things like these makes me cry!!!
very good! I registered in the favorite. However, this Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster is very serious. It worries about the ecosystem in the future.

A very well designed and timely video. Thanks for uploading.
So freaking sad 🙁
Incredible spot. Should be broadcasted on television!
very interesting! Whilst everyone is focussing on the direct impact of the oil slick, very little has been mentioned about the long term effects. if the oil slick in 1979 caused a permanent 70% reduction in the numbers of tuna larvae what are the effects of this catastrophe going to be? could we be dining on our last decade of tuna?
Fucking money hungry humans, this is why I wont buy a car, and why our house is completely eco-friendly
That is horrible! I wish they would stop off shore drillings, its so ridiculous. I’m going to sign some petitions on care2.
