They’ve tried to stop a mud volcano (having less pressure than this one) with 4 tons concrete balls. No chance. The pressure is 20000 pounds per square-inch. Just try to find a material dense enough to counteract this pressure in a small hole like that. IMHO this will not be solved by blocking it. The only thing they could do is taking the pressure away by a second drilling. The risk is that it will end up like the first one.
Steel ball bearings, lead shot, heavy stuff will drop through the pressurized flow, MUD failed as I predicted over and over. I also guessed 20,000 BPD just looking at it. Use bearings about 2 to 4 inches diameter, even chopped cold rolled, drop it down a pipe and into the flow, fill the oilpipe for a thousand feet. Flow wil drop by 75% and then use MUD and CONCRETE. damn it i keep seeing these video titles about top kill oil leak is stopped. what does that mean?? and from the looks of it in this video, the oil is still pumping into the ocean. i hate feeling so helpless!

@FoundingFathersSayNO, I searched the net but it looks like 21,600 PSI at 5,000 feet of water pressure so whose gonna place the steel? How ironic would it be if all the gold in the world banks was needed to block this spill with enough weight per cube. Time to give back to mother earth from the greed that took from her.

Mud Please!!!! It’s not going to work. The pressure is too great. How about a piece of steel one foot thick and 100 feet by 100 feet and then a couple hundred tons of cement on top of that and then a few hundred tons of rock on top of that!
