Spewing 5000 Barrels of Oil a Day, BP Spill Hits Louisiana Coastline The massive BP oil well leak in the Gulf of Mexico has reached the Louisiana coastline as fears grow of a worse disaster than the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill. 5000 barrels of oil a day continue to spew into the water beneath the site of the Deepwater Horizon rig that exploded and sank last week. President Obama said BP is ultimately responsible for funding the response and cleanup operations, but vowed to increase federal involvement.

@Winter077 Yep. Shocking.
@E1GHTY8 Do you live there? Can someone who lives there and is being affected by it please message me..
@resteep It is!
I just read that the original estimates wre wrong, BP claims that the well head was spweing 20 – 40 thousand barrels a day NOT 5000. crazy!!!

5,000 barrels = 210,000 gallons.
first they said it was 5,000 a day, now they say it is 200,000 a day. how much you want to bet its even more than that?!
kill them all… this cant be fixed…. leak will be stopped but damage has been done
If you continue doing business with any of these companies: Reuters Group, Rolls-Royce, IBM, Motorola, Intel Corporation, McDonald’s, and Bank of America, all BP partners, while this oil spill contaminates our oceans, you are a liar and your voice deserves to be silent. I pledge to not spend a single dollar of extra money on dining out, entertainment, clothing, electronics, or any other non-essential item until this oil spill is completely cleaned out of our oceans. So help me God.
