The National Geographic Channel has released footage from 21-22 April, 2010 showing the Deepwater Horizon oil platform collapse into the Gulf of Mexico as it burns.

@LastRussianEmporer Have to be able to trust the other countries completely,,,,dont see that happening,,,remember Germany in 1934 wasn’t supposed to have an air force…so they started GLIDING CLUBS all over germany (trained pilots). few year after that they had the luftwaffe, at the time biggest and baddest air force in the world
Every eight months nearly 11 million gallons of oil run off our nation’s streets and driveways into our waters_the equivalent of the Exxon Valdez oil spill. No one ever addresses this, it’s always about drilling or directly targeting the oil companies. what about your impact on the environment?

@TheRetiredtrucker well is there a way to limit spending so that every country has the same amount so that noone can truly invade the others ? or some thing to make everyone equal in power

@TheRetiredtrucker it just sucks how the entire planet is relying on oil and when you rely on one thing for too long it becomes too powerful to control i just wish shit was better , less pollution, less war hell if countries got rid of military spending and put all that money into preserving the earth and ecosystems wede have a chance at a cleaner future

@LastRussianEmporer Most people would be astounded too realize how far the products they buy have travelled to get to the stores, to get to them. Just the fruit most people eat can travell several thousand miles in a few days (depending on where you live) to get to you…..see a lot as a trucker 🙂

@TheRetiredtrucker The US could readily become a country focused on solar or wind or geothermal or hydro electric or chemical energy. I’m convinced the only reason we are not, is because there are so many dipshits who believe in control and the trickle down theory. They want a hierarchical system, and will not readily research any system that serves society but might mean less money / business for them. It’s instances like this that tell me Capitalism will die a pleasant death. Can’t wait.
@LastRussianEmporer Yep…vast majority of people dont realize how much oil is involved in their daily life. Not mentioning energy (electricity) or fuel ( =for their car , but the trucks and trains that bring EVERYTHING to them) most people wear clothing made partially from oil based polymers. OIL is used in every part of farming the food we eat…..like it or not ,,, for the time being we are dependent
@LastRussianEmporer But in 20 to 50 years,,,realistically …. the oil contamination will be gone……whats the half life of cesium 137, Iodine 131 or strontium 90? I’d much prefer the oil….but were comparing apples and oranges aren’t we?
