Does anyone else think that this Oil spill is being underestimated? 210,000 gallons of oil are being pumped out per day!
All of there plans revolve around retrieving the oil as a solution. The Interest is to harvest the oil not permanently stop it. They could place that box over it and fill it with concrete, placing a compression cap on the pipe coming out. But There plans do not include permanent caping solutions without oil production components.
I was watching video of the the oil leak on the bottom of the gulf. I noticed liquid under the sea water I’m sure it is natural gas under immense pressure. Then it hit me cold ,what if all that gas were to burp like what happened in Africa at lake Nyos which killed thousands.
The path of least resistance is up the continental shelf towards the populated coast .. If the the oil slick can be seen from space I shiver at the prospect of how much natural gas is waiting to be released.
@beancube2010 the water is around 5000 feet deep and the temperatures down that deep are much lower than at the surface. So if you consider the depth of the water and the pressure from the well being reduce to a smaller diameter in the hoses and pipe from the containment dome you can see how the ice crystals will form. Wells freezing over is actually a comment threat to offshore drilling therefore companies you chemicals such as methanol to prevent freezing.
How can the ice crystal be formed if they allowed sea water melting them? The containment dome is puzzling me. I just wonder if they just couple the leak gusting pipe to a parachute, the cruel oil will float up the parachute just like kite. if they added some floating channels to trap them to long pipes reach back to the sea surface, tanker can simply take them back home easily. if the current deep down there is not too heavy, they can simple nail some posts to hold the parachute in position.
wish we a trasformer robot that can go down there and close that valve…..like what they did with megatron
really, im not kidding, humans well destoy the world. they’ll try to fix and but make it worse
BP = look over there at that cute little deer!
@NatureCitizan
MY CHILD IS DYING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE HELP HIMMM. FUCKKKKK

thats an deepwater robot… its not the best qulity and its in a deep of ca 1000m 🙁
hopefully we can do something to save this planet before its too late!
Not sure what we were watching.
