Nonprofit Matter Of Trust Uses Donations Of Hair, Fur To Clean Up Gulf Oil Spill Story: www.staplenews.com
We collect, sort, and grade alpaca fiber to make blankets. We are donating all our unusable fiber (several thousand pounds’ worth!) to this project. At last! A worthwhile cause to get it out of our barn!
i am doing this myself! YES YES YES! However, I would ask that the woman in the video “selling” it to the school children cut her long hair too. I been growing my hair a long time…but this is sooooo important right now! Seems strange to sell it and not just do it!! 😀 <3
New meaning to “Hair today, (oil) gone tomorrow”
Wouldn’t it be great if there massive hair collection depots set up all through out the country to make these and help clean our oceans! It really would be a way for everyone to lend a hand or a hair to this disaster
It’s wonderful indeed … this and Paul Stamet’s mycology solution to oil spills give hope while we’re still addicted to oil. It’ll be a fine day when we don’t “do oil” anymore!
