Bullshit. This could have been prevented if the Bush Administration hadn’t eviscerated strong, robust oversight of the oil drilling business.
The only reason this is happening weeks later, is that there was NO contingency plan! None! Zippo!
BP engineers are smart people, PB executives are smart people, but the answer to a Board, and their job is to make money. They need only meet the regulations in place and to do more gets you fired.
