They should have done tests for worst case nightmares like the one we have now. Everything they are trying is untested at that depth. Why wasn’t this kind of thing tested before drilling began? There should have been something in place. Now every time an attempt fails we have to wait days if not weeks for the next idea. Why aren’t companies and the government lining up with one idea after the next? Top kill fails, something else should be right there, ready to try.

Refinery production will remain the same. The price of oil rising will be merely a perceptual one, like most of the time, and not from a flux in supply/demand. No one is a prophet for thinking crude prices are long-term bullish.
This was an accident, fueled by BP cost-cutting. This was pretty much admitted by BP President “Lackey”. BP will be lucky if it remains solvent after it pays the TRILLIONS in civil suits it’s facing. As a commercial fisherman this is exceptionally heartbreaking.

The explosion on the Deepwater Horizon, which is operated by BP, killed 11 people. The resulting oil spill is threatening the Gulf Coast’s delicate ecosystem
U.S. Reps. Henry Waxman and Bart Stupak sent letters requesting the testimony of officials from BP America, Transocean and Halliburton. BP operates the rig, which is owned by Transocean. Halliburton worked on the rig not long before the explosion.
I was reading the CCX website and realized what a huge con it is with Obama right in the middle of it. IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST CRIME OF THE CENTURY. BP OIL RIG BLEW UP AND THEY OWN A LARGE AMOUNT OF SHARES OF CCX. VERY STRANGE. OBAMA WAS ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF JOYCE IN 2000-2001 A SCIENST DEVELOPED THE CARBON CREDIT ON ITS WAY TO A PATENT. 144 oil will hurt the airlines revenues, They already have problems. Maybe, the gov’t takeover of airline(s) ala GM could be just one reason to support this theory by Obaidkarki?

the created an oil eating bacteria years ago, the problem is the bacteria creates more ecological damage than the oil itself
The latest I have heard,( but have not been able to verify it) it was a subsidiary of Halliburton doing some work on the well when it blew. Halliburton was also supposed to install an anti-blow-out valve, but got around it somehow. This could spell the end of botrh Haliburton and BP, maybe of that creepy old Cheney as well. All their assets will have to be attached to pay for the clean-up.

yes but cannot survive in salt water.
it is used in oil tankers it takes ages to eatup oil moreover you need ozone generators to produce oxygen. very expensive
