BP: Riser Removal From LMRP Graphic – May 29, 2010

Graphic depiction of how two cuts will be made in order to remove the riser from the Lower Marine Riser Package (LMRP) to enable the LMRP Cap to be installed. The LMRP Cap will collect oil leaking from the top of the blow-out preventer.

    This whole catastrophe with BP is idiocy. The measure of oil pouring forth into the Gulf of Mexico sprung up by 1000’s of barrelfuls Wednesday after an undersea droid seemingly shook the containment cap that has been getting petroleum from BP’s Macondo well. I wonder how much destruction this entire disaster is going to cost the sea when it’s all over
